Give a gift this Christmas and support your local hospital

An online wish list has been created in time for Christmas so people can gift items that will help keep patients comfortable and happy during their stay at Medway Hospital.

Each item on the Amazon wish list has been carefully picked by hospital staff and all items will be delivered directly to the hospital.

With prices starting at just £1.25, there are a variety of gifts to buy such as, playing cards, colouring books and pens for patients on the wards, new-born gift sets for Christmas babies, reward stickers for the children that visit the Emergency Department and much, much more.

Set up by the Medway Hospital Charity, the wish list means residents living in Kent and Medway can support patients from the comfort of their own home without making a physical donation. To view the wish list visit https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/5GOX2W18IJKV?ref_=wl_share

Donna Law, Medway NHS Foundations Trust’s Charity and Fundraising Manager, said: “These gifts will make a huge difference to patients who are in hospital, not just over the festive season but all year round.

“We are extremely grateful for all donations received. If you don’t have an Amazon account or would still like to support the campaign in another way, other gifts will be gratefully received, such as Christmas activity packs for our children’s ward, colouring pens, chocolates or socks for patients. Simply email medwayft.charity@nhs.net to arrange for the items to be dropped off or collected. Alternatively, you can make a donation via the charity’s website.”
