Do you know a local school that would like to have a Rainbow Day to raise money for the Medway Hospital Charity?
Last year more than 65 schools and nurseries in Medway and Swale held tag days, cakes sales, art attacks and crafty activities and raised more than £7,000 for The Medway Hospital Charity.
It was fantastic to see everyone coming together in support of our wonderful NHS and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your photos and amazing outfits! We want to build on the success of last year’s event and encourage even more schools to get involved, have fun and raise vital funds to support patients and our NHS heroes, right here at Medway.
This is where we need you!
The NHS celebrates its 74th birthday on 5 July and, once again, we are asking you to help us celebrate it by having a Rainbow Day. As the rainbow became symbolic of the NHS during the pandemic, we thought it was fitting to bring that into our event.
We are asking schools and nurseries in Medway and Swale to host a dress down day where the children donate £1 for coming to school in bright ‘rainbow’ clothes. Not only would taking part help to brighten up the day for children and staff, but it will also raise money for their local hospital.
Register your interest and we will send you the Rainbow Day fundraising pack – email medwayft.charity@nhs.net
We hope your school can join us!
