Medway NHS Foundation Trust has received a generous donation of £10,000 from local company MTS Cleansing Services Ltd.
The waste management firm, based in Rochester, presented a giant cheque to The Medway Hospital Charity outside Medway Maritime Hospital.
The donation comes weeks after MTS also provided several digital radios for the patients recovering on the wards at the hospital in Gillingham.
Cheryl Jones, Fundraising Officer at Medway NHS Foundation Trust, said:
‘’We would like to express our gratitude to MTS for their support during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are extremely grateful for the donation of £10,000 and the supply of digital radios, which have provided real comfort to our patients.’’
Steve Gilson, Managing Director at MTS, said:
“We were delighted to make this donation to our local hospital as a mark of our appreciation for their fantastic service to the community during the coronavirus pandemic.’’
